FOUR Months

Cole is F O U R Months Old! Where is the time going? I seriously feel like I just had him, yet he is four months already. He is growing like a weed and just seems huge to me. I just want to freeze time.

He is doing really well. He is swaddle free and is sleeping well still. I have to go in sometimes to give him a paci, but other than that, he is still a great sleeper. Yay!

Rolling Over... well, APPARENTLY he rolled over on Saturday (the 8th) while I was not home, however, he has yet to do it for me. He is really close when he is on his back, he gets to his side but I have not seen him make it all the way over yet. When I check on him before I go to bed he is sometimes sleeping on his side.

He goes to the Dr on Friday for his 4 month check up and if I get the ok, which I don't know why I wouldn't I will be starting him on cereal. Can't believe it!

Well, I think that is all that is new with him. I have posted a few new videos on our youtube page so be sure to check them out! http://www.youtube.com/user/njgirlatheart

Happy Mother's Day

I had a great Mothers Day. It started with Saturday... we always give each other a day to themselves the day before Mothers/Fathers Day. I got to spend the morning with a great friend at a Scrapbook Mega Meet and while there I won a door prize of some awesome scrapping supplies! I NEVER win anything! Then we went to lunch and she introduced me to a great little place right down the street from me - yum!

On Mother's Day we went to church and then went to lunch at Noodles and Co. I had never been there and had been wanting to try it. Afterwards we came home and Jeff took the girls outside to play while Cole napped and I got to enjoy a nice quiet house... I NEVER get that!

We put the kids to bed and then Jeff grilled steaks and shrimp for us for dinner. Delish! Perfect ending to the perfect day! So thankful to be a Mommy!

Potty Training

Well, a couple weekends ago we started "Potty Training Bootcamp" as we like to call it. Jeff took Friday off and we sent Hayley to a friends house for the day. We had been telling Alyssa she was going to be saying, "Bye Bye Diapers" and she was excited about it. That morning we put panties on her and just started pumping her with Kool Aide. The very first time, she had a big accident and started saying, "I don't want the pee to come out". She had an accident the next morning too, and had a couple the first few nights... but other than that she has done great! She is staying dry at her nap time and she is staying dry through the night, which is amazing. I had bought Pull-Ups thinking I would need them, but the girl has proved me wrong. She still has some hesitation with #2, but she is doing it in the potty. She just makes like 10 trips to the potty and then holds it, then she finally goes. She is afraid to let it go still, but with every time, it is becoming less of a big deal. Yay! Way to go Alyssa!!!

Our Small Group

We have been truely blessed to be apart of such a great small group... smallowship!
These people are our "Michigan Family" and I don't know if I could survive MI without them!

From Left to Right:
The Perry's: Mike, Corrie, Haylie, Ethan, Isla and Baby Liam (due in June)
The Hare's: Matt, Kristen, and Maddie
The Gerwings: I think you all know us!

3 Months

Cole is 3 Months old! Wow!! I can't get over how fast it goes... faster with everyone! He is doing SO well. He is weighing in at 14 lbs and is happy as ever. He just started laughing last week (4/7) - so precious!! And, he is sleeping through the nights most nights. It depends when I put him down. If I put him down around 9 he usually sleeps till about 7 or 7:30, if I put him down earlier like 7:30 (some days, I can just see it in his eyes, that he is ready to call it a night) he wakes to eat about 5/5:30 - either way I will take a 10 hour stretch! He Rocks!

The girls are both doing very well. We have been able to enjoy the outside which has been great. The first thing Alyssa says sometimes when she wakes from her nap is, "I want to play outside". They play really well together for the most part which is awesome.

Well, I think that is all for now.

Recently

Well, we have been busy... as usual! March was very busy... we had company 3 out of the 4 weekends, and then one weekend we didn't have company from out of town, we had friends over two different nights for dinner and had sg on the other night... Whew!

We had Jeff's brother in town, then the weekend break (so to speak) and then Rob, Joie and Robbie came to visit. We had a great time with them, and Robbie made friends with our neighbors which was cool. We hope they make the trek here to MI more often!

After they left I had one and a half days until my parents arrived. I love having them here, and this time it felt like it went extremely fast (I think b/c they were here for longer last time, that it made it seem so much faster) The girls simply enjoy spending time with them. We are looking forward to May when we make our first trip back there since August!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. Friday we went to the Marshmallow Drop and then went to Easter Service at the Ridge. Saturday we enjoyed the free breakfast at IKEA, and then we volunteered at the Ridge for two of the services. Sunday we had a lazy morning at home and the girls enjoyed their Easter baskets and then we had friends over for Easter Dinner and an Easter Egg Hunt.

I am back on Facebook - after my break for Lent, and have posted lots of pics on there so be sure to check them out.

Spring is in the Air!

Well, we have had just some beautiful weather here in MI for March. High 50's and Sunny!!! We have been able to get outside and play a couple days, it has been great!

Hayley has started back at gymnastics and is loving it. Last time when she went in the fall she was hesitant about going out on the mat by herself, so we would have to go out with her, this time she goes right out and does it. She is excited to go, and enjoys showing us at home what she is learning.

Alyssa is such an entertainer. I really could just watch that girl all day. She is so full of expression, and can tell a story like no other 2 year old! However, in her "telling" she will also fib which we are working on. The other day I asked her who did something and she told me Cole did it - and said it with such confidence! Poor boy has it in for him!

Cole is doing great, he steals my heart every day! He is my little man and smiles for me all the time. Starting to make a few cooing noises, but they are not a constant yet. He went to the Dr's and he was 12 lbs 8 ozs, which put him in the 75 % for his weight, and he was 23 inches which was 50%. The boy does not go hungry!

We have some more visitors coming and are really looking forward to it. Rob, Joie and Robbie are coming in this weekend and then next week my parents come into town. Hope the nice weather stays around them!
